How long do you spend with us on our wedding day?

That really depends on what you’ve asked us to do and which package type you’ve opted for.  Many brides like to have photographs of the chaos they enjoyed whilst they were getting ready.  Some grooms are happy to be photographed with their mates too. Typically we’ll spend 6 to 10 hours shooting on the day.

Do you design our album for us?

Yes we do.  It takes both time and a good eye to create the perfect album layout.  But you always have the last say, and we email a proof layout for your approval before ordering up the album from our album house.

The venue has recommended the photographer who always shoots there – why should I use you instead?

Some venues do have some good photographers.  But equally, if a photographer shoots mostly (or exclusively) at one location, you might begin to feel you’re simply on a photography conveyor belt – its too easy for the photographer to do the same old thing rather than being creative, or even excited, about your wedding.

So if I haven’t shot at a venue you’re using, consider that a bonus, since everything I shoot will be fresh and unique to you.

My friend likes photography – is it a good idea to ask them to shoot my wedding?

This is a massive question with huge implications.  Its so big, its got its own page!

How far will you travel?

We’ll travel anywhere in the UK and much further afield if needed.  We’d quite like a couple of Tuscan weddings if you’re offering :)

How quickly will we see our proofs?

This depends on the season.  At busy times it might be as long as 4 to 6 weeks, in winter as quick as 2 weeks.  Some photographers have been known to offer proofs by noon the next day.  We honestly can’t see its possible to do a professional post-production job with such a short timescale.

Do you do a pre-wedding shoot? And why do we need one?

Yes, and many of our packages include a pre-shoot.  We find a pre-shoot pays dividends for the wedding day.  After a pre-shoot you know just how good you look in our photography.  You’re brimming with confidence as this is one less thing to worry about on your wedding day.  And it shows in your wedding photos.
