Lucy & Nick wanted an engagement shoot somewhere with meaning for them both, so decided that the local gardens at Stratford Park, where they had spent so much time together, was just the spot.  So on an unusually dry and warm summers evening, we went for a shoot.

Their wedding is later this year, so come back soon to see some photos from that shoot too.

Nikki & Waynes’ pre-wedding photoshoot was in Winchester on one of the rare sunny, dry and warm days we’ve had this year. Wayne suggested the Nature reserve where he had proposed to Nikki and so we set off for a jaunt through the reeds and along the riverside. They were a completely relaxed couple and Nikki is a bit of a scream. In fact it was almost impossible not to capture a broad grin or sunny smile with every photograph.

They are marrying later this in Salisbury and I just know that it will be a great shoot.

Recently I was asked to do a shoot for wedding cakes.

Cake Creations by Julie was looking to get their website updated and realised that photographs I had previously taken of their cakes were just what they needed.  Pretty much all their original website images were taken using low quality phone cameras, with less than ideal lighting.

So, have a look at some of the amazing cakes she created for the studio shoot we setup in her kitchen preparation area.  And if you find your mouth watering, click the link at the bottom of the page to visit her all new website.

Wedding Photographer Classic VW

I love being a wedding photographer. And sometimes its as much about something the bride and groom have organised as about the location.

At a recent wedding, the couple had booked a Classic 1967 split-screen VW camper van. It was so spectacular, that I felt it needed its very own blog page!

Speaking to Bob, who owned and drove it, he explained that he’d spent more than 4 years completely rebuilding the vehicle. And it was well worth it. It’s already won a number of concours events, and I imagine he’ll be entering it a lot more in the future.

Bob arrived at the brides home with plenty of time to spare on a gloriously sunny March morning in the north Devon seaside town of Ilfracombe. The drive to St Sabinius church in Woolacombe took just a few minutes through a country lane. But wisely, Bob took his VW along a main route to avoid having to stop every 100 yards to let other vehicles coming the opposite way pass.

This gave me, the wedding photographer, plenty of time to get to the church first.

After the ceremony, there were gasps from plenty of the guests when they saw the VW.

The groom, bestman and ushers didn’t have to be asked twice to don their sunglasses and strike a cool pose by the van.

I want one!

If you’re booking this wonderful classic VW and want a wedding photographer who will capture some gorgeous photographs of it (and of you too), call me on O77IO 286 OI6
